With the establishment of the health pass in France, people have been hired to check whether people have this document when entering restaurants, shopping centers or cultural venues, for example.
It’s a new job in France. Health pass controllers are now part of our daily lives, whether before attending a show, taking a long-distance train or visiting a monument. Nicolas Boulais has been doing this work for a few days at the University Hospital of Angers (Maine-et-Loire). This is the first professional experience of this young man, who applied and was almost immediately recruited. He is paid minimum wage.
In a Parisian temp agency, several dozen health controllers have been hired in recent weeks. This sector is in tension, and new companies are calling every day. “It’s exploded in the last two weeks, and we have a lot of new customers thanks to the pass. It’s a new job”, explains Karim Robert, of the Proman agency. Several hundred positions are to be filled in the territory, particularly in the shopping centers soon to be affected.
