Coronavirus: Didier Raoult lie to the commission of inquiry?

Didier Raoult have lied in front of the parliamentarians of the commission of inquiry on the Covid-19? In a letter addressed to the President of the National Assembly, the director of Public Assistance – Paris Hospitals (AP-HP) Martin Hirsch accuses the Marseille professor of false declarations. “It seems essential to me that the work of the commission cannot be based on factually false elements and that the necessary follow-up can be given”writes in particular Martin Hirsch.

The former Minister of Health is targeting two passages of his hearing. A first where Didier Raoult had mentioned the estimate of the death rate of patients in intensive care. Another passage is also targeted where the Marseille professor mentioned the case of an 80-year-old Chinese patient hospitalized at the end of January and who had died in mid-February. The fervent defender of chloroquine had questioned the AP-HP and had affirmed that this patient had gone home. Martin Hirsch recalls that this man had been transferred to the Bichat hospital in Paris, where his daughter, also ill, had been taken care of before recovering.
